      The Pisces New Moon

      3/13/21 @ 2:22 am

The beginning of a new 30 day cycle (29.5 to be exact) starts with a new moon. This new moon is in the sign of Pisces.

I believe that when planets and cosmic bodies move in the skies, it directly affects each of us. When the Moon, the cosmic body that represents the subconscious, begins a new cycle every 30 days, it gives you an opportunity to bring the things that are unseen (what/how you think, how you feel) to the forefront in order to make room for and start something new. Think of it as clearing out the roots and weeds, and planting new seeds in your garden of life.

For me I’m at the point in my life that I want to be consistent in my work. To have a schedule where the content I’m putting out is running like clock work. I also have personal goals and ideas for myself that I’m ready to see happen. Things that I know only God has been working with me on.

Since the days leading up to the New Moon I’ve been preparing my mental notes and my body to wake up early on March 13th to meditate and pray on these things. Essentially I’m bringing forth my seeds to ask a blessing on what I’m about to plant in my garden.

From there I’ll work on all the things I can work on and continue to put my faith and trust in Gods timing and wisdom, which I look at as elements to keep my garden growing and thriving.

I know this may seem silly to some but I’ve read so much about Moon cycles that it’s made a believer out of me. I also see it’s importance in scripture. Psalms 81 :3 says:

Blow the trumpet at the new moon

At the full moon, on our feast day

The Hebrew word for month literally means “new moon ". This is how the Israelites would track the beginning of a new month. Their festivals and rituals marked an outward expression of their internal love and commitment to God.

Another cool fact is that New and Full moons occur in a different sign every cycle. Almost like the energies from both phases of the moon play off each other. The themes of the zodiac where the moon phase is occurring I like to use as points of focus for what I’m feeling and working through.

The Piscean New moon is about the ending of cycles, and moving between the physical and spiritual realm with balance.

This month the Full Moon will be in Libra which highlights the need for balancing out dualities within yourself.

With both of these moons highlighting balance in the physical and spiritual realms, ( and a Venus Neptune conjunction happening on the same day as the new moon) I really can’t ignore the timing to begin and see if what I know and feel can align to give me what I want.

Besides My Pastor always says “an argument is only at the mercy of an experience”. If I’m going to say something does or doesn’t work, I might as well know it for a fact.

To sum it all up, the new moon in Pisces season is very ethereal. It’s spiritual and dream like characteristics makes this New moon cycle a good time (for the first time) for me to be intentional with seeing what I believe (the unseen) become tangible.... Am I already aligned with the energy if I’m doing a first?!

And although it all seems a bit unreal, the way I see it, I don’t have anything to lose.

If you’re feeling inspired to try this yourself I’ve linked the sites I used for this post below. Even if you don’t jump on board right away take baby steps to understand this as it resonates for YOU. It’s all quite magical really.
